Hut No 3 Shearling sits in its own fenced off compound behind the farmyard looking out over grass paddocks and open country beyond. It is far enough from the other hut Herdwick to be completely private if you wish or is ideal if you wish to visit with friends. Built on a sturdy frame with cast iron wheels, it has a solid ash wood floor. The bathroom at one end of the hut has a traditional rain head shower with slate floor. The kitchen area has an ash wood worktop with a Belfast sink and double gas hob. Underneath is a fridge and cupboards with a good collection of cooking equipment. The king sized bed has a deep pocket sprung mattress for a very comfortable night's sleep. In Summer you can throw open the top of the stable door to let in the sun or the evening air. But in Winter the thickly insulated walls will shut out the iciest winds and the wood-burning stove will keep you warm and cosy on the bitterest winter night.

Longwool is rather special. It is more remote than the other huts and sits on its own in a secluded spot on the edge of its own private woodland. This hut is ideal for those who really want to get away from it all and it has no WiFi.
Hut No 4 Longwool sits on its own at the edge of the Marl Wood. Built on a sturdy frame with cast iron wheels, it has a solid ash wood floor. The little bathroom at one end of the hut has a tiny deep bath ideal for a luxurious soak. The kitchen has an ash wood worktop with a Belfast sink and double gas hob. Underneath is a fridge and cupboards with a good collection of cooking equipment. The king sized bed has a deep pocket sprung mattress for a very comfortable night's sleep. In Summer throw open the top of the stable door to let in the sun or the evening air. Use the iron fire-pit to cook a barbecue on the grid or just to sit around and watch the flickering flames. But in Winter the thickly insulated walls will shut out the iciest winds and the wood-burning stove will keep you warm and cosy on the bitterest winter night.
A GREAT PLACE TO STAY HIDDEN AWAY AMONG HEDGEROWS AND WOODLAND
WITH VIEWS OF OPEN COUNTRY
AN IDEAL PLACE TO JUST WATCH NATURE
We can move all of our huts about on their wheels and have sited each hut very carefully in its own private compound with views across open countryside. Each hut also has its own place to park very nearby. Outside each hut you will find a fire-bowl as well as a table and chairs for eating outdoors. You will even find old fashioned deck chairs with classic canvas slings for a really relaxing doze.
Southdown sits in its own secluded corner behind the farm cottages. Herdwick and Shearling sit alongside the same grass paddock but each has its own mini-paddock fenced off with hazel wattle where you can be completely private if you wish. Longwool is more remote sitting in its own woodland and is ideal for those who really want to get away from it all.
An easy journey from London and across the South of England, but very far from the madding hustle and bustle of urban living, time in your luxury shepherds hut is that extra bit special. You have the comforts of a luxury holiday cottage, the closeness to nature of glamping, and the peace of a wild natural escape.
